“Lit d’air fluidisé : Granulation, Enrobage et Encapsulation”

Malvern, leader en caractérisation des particules, SDTech Micro, expert des poudres fines, et son partenaire technique Glatt, leader mondial en lit d’air fluidisé, organisent deux journées techniques pour aborder les enjeux et les nouveautés technologiques des procédés de granulation, d’enrobage et d’encapsulation en lit d’air fluidisé. Rappels théoriques et ateliers pratiques sont au programme.
25 avril :

Présentation de SDTech et de Glatt
Lit d’air fluidisé, techniques et technologies
De la poudre aux grains, caractérisation
1er atelier : Granulation en lit d’air fluidisé

26 avril :

When it comes to scale-up, processes which are based on mixing are often particularly challenging. Critical geometries shift as vessel size is increased and mixing regimes can vary as a function of scale, even when using established scale-up protocols based on, for example, impeller tip speed.
The optimization and scale-up of high shear wet granulation processes exemplifies this problem. Though widely used to prepare blends for oral solid dosage (OSD), wet granulations are notoriously sensitive to small changes in the formulation or mixing regime. Batch to batch variability is often high …

Particle Characterization Explained
There is a wide range of commercially available particle characterization techniques that can be used to measure particulate samples. Each has its relative strengths and limitations and there is no universally applicable technique for all samples and all situations.
Which particle characterization techniques do I need?
A number of criteria must be considered when deciding which particle characterization techniques you need:
• which particle properties are important to me?
• what particle size range do I want to work over?
• are my samples polydisperse i.e. do I need a wide dynamic range?
• …
